Thomas & Eliza appear to have had one child in Thomas Leggo Hicks. There is some uncertainty regarding the age of Thomas Leggo Hicks. The 1901 census (dated 31 Mar) lists Thomas L. Hicks as five months old and therefore born late 1900. This conflicts with the burial record which lists Thomas burial date as 3 Dec 1901 at the age of four months in Botallack.
The 1871 Census finds Thomas a two month old baby with parents and grandparents at Letcha near St Just in Penwith.
The 1881 Census for Green Lane St Just in Penwith, Cornwall finds Thomas to be a 10 year old student.
In the 1891 Census Thomas is a young man of 20 years working in the tin mines like his father.
