Bill’s first job was with the Golden Horseshoe Assay Office. Bill was a very good cricketer in his younger days. It was through cricket that he was offered a butchering apprenticeship at Katanning, which he accepted. At the time of the offer he was living in Boulder. He was also a good footballer. First lived at 40A Davis Street Boulder, then at 3 North Terrace, Boulder, then at Annie Street, Katanning.
