WEDDING
Virgo – Mangelsdorf
A pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Lane-street, this afternoon when Thelma Marjorie, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. B. Mangelsdorf, of 168 Mica-street, was married to George Sampson Virgo, third son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. L. Virgo, of 121 Cornish street. The Rev. H. S. Michie officiated.
The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe satin and silk needle-run lace down to the toes and sweeping into a large train. The sleeves were very full with tiny bows to the elbows, and the high neck had a little roll collar. She carried a bouquet of frangipani and heath.
The bridesmaids were Miss Minnie Mangelsdorf, sister of the bride, and Miss Sadie Virgo, sister of the bride-groom. They wore white coral tafetta frocks, with rucked puff sleeves and Elizabethan collars. The frocks were tight to the knees, theskirt being of silk net.
The best man was Mr. Roy Marsh and the groomsman Mr. Garnet Virgo. The page boy, Ian Virgo, a nephew of the groom, was dressed in a suit of white satin. The church was prettily decorated by friends of the bride. After the ceremony about 40 guests of the bride and groom attended a reception at the residence of the bride’s parents.
